Journalist, teacher, exhibition curator, and photographer, Bernard Perrine has left us. 
He joined the Rencontres d’Arles in 1973 alongside Lucien Clergue, contributing to the organization for many years. In 1977, he became the artistic director of the festival. 
With his passing, French photography loses one of its greatest advocates.
