THE 54TH EDITION: KEY FIGURES

Over 145,000 visitors came to the Rencontres, more than in any previous year.
Attendance was comparable to 2019, the festival’s 50th anniversary.

THREE MONTHS
From July 3 to September 24, there were nearly 1,500,000 visits to 45 shows in addition to the 11 Grand Arles Express exhibitions.
Some 4,200 works were exhibited at 27 venues totaling nearly 12,000 square meters.

OPENING WEEK
The 86 public events included parties, projections, panel discussions, meet-and-greets, guided tours with artists and curators, book signings and more.
The festival hosted 100 artists, 46 guest curators and 60 publishers participating in Arles Books Fair.
From July 3 to 9, 19,500 visitors came to opening week.

OPENING EYES: AN INTRODUCTION TO READING IMAGES AT THE RENCONTRES D’ARLES
In September, 11,000 students from 400 elementary, middle and high school classes participated in La Rentrée en Images.
For the first time, 10 exhibition venues stayed open after the end of the festival, welcoming 40 additional classes—and 1,000 more students than in 2022.
This summer, over 1,000 children visited with their families and participated in young people’s workshops.
